- The fabric is flame retardant to BS7176 Crib 5, BS EN 1021-1:2006 1&2, BS5852 Crib 5, IMO Annex 1 Part 8
- Anti-bacterial/Anti-fungal: Resistant to microbial and fungal growth including Salmonella, E Coli and MRSA
- Waterproof: Hydrostatic Head BS3424 > 1 metre
- Stain resistant and breathable

Building Regulations specify the use of fire resistant materials in all public buildings including schools, hospitals and government buildings 1.
This means that noticeboards must be fire rated to BS476 Part 7 Class 1 in offices, rooms and classrooms.
In corridors and stairwells, noticeboards must comply with Class B EN 13501 (an equivalent to Class 0).
