CANTEEN REFURBISHMENT
Creating a Modern Student Dining Space at Sheffield College
OSI was commissioned by Sheffield College to refurbish an existing canteen area, transforming the space into a modern, functional and welcoming environment for students to eat, relax and socialise throughout the day.
The project focused on balancing durability, comfort and contemporary design, creating a refreshed communal area capable of supporting high daily footfall while maintaining a clean and professional aesthetic.
To achieve this, OSI supplied and installed a coordinated range of dining furniture, including Aspect dining tables, dining benches, poseur tables and upholstered seating solutions designed specifically for busy educational environments.

The installation incorporated a mix of standard-height dining furniture alongside elevated poseur seating, allowing the canteen to support a variety of seating preferences and social interactions.

The combination of bench seating, poseur areas and upholstered stools helped create a versatile layout suitable for both individual use and larger student groups.

The installation centred around a large 5000mm rectangular-shaped boardroom table in a chestnut wood finish, complete with integrated cable management to support modern meeting technology. This was paired with high-back black faux leather meeting chairs featuring chrome cantilever frames for comfort and durability.
