Understanding The College’s Requirements
Haslingden Sixth Form College wanted to transform an underutilised outdoor area into a welcoming social space where students could relax, meet and collaborate outside of the classroom.
The college required a durable, low-maintenance solution that would withstand year-round use while creating an attractive feature within the campus grounds. The project needed to provide comfortable seating, encourage social interaction and make better use of an existing grassed area.
Working closely with the college, OSI developed a solution that combined a bespoke resin-bound circular seating area with contemporary curved outdoor seating, creating a dedicated outdoor hub that complements the surrounding environment and enhances the student experience.

Before work began, the area was simply an unused grassed space. Through careful planning, site preparation and installation, OSI transformed the location into a dedicated outdoor social hub featuring a durable resin-bound surface and contemporary circular seating.
