Creating a Modern Design & Technology Workshop at Netherwood Academy
Supporting Practical Learning Through Specialist Workshop Furniture
OSI Office & Educational Furniture partnered with Netherwood Academy to deliver a refurbishment of their Design & Technology workshop, supplying specialist TekBench workstations designed to support practical learning and collaborative project work.
The project involved the installation of both four-pupil and six-pupil workbenches, creating a flexible teaching environment that provides students with dedicated workspaces for design, engineering and manufacturing activities.

Preparing the Workshop for Installation
These images demonstrate the preparation phase of the project as the workshop was transformed into a modern practical learning environment. Existing furniture was removed and new TekBench frames installed ready for the final worktops and vice systems.

The completed workshop now provides students and teaching staff with a practical and organised environment that supports hands-on learning. The layout maximises available space whilst creating dedicated work areas that encourage collaboration, creativity and technical skill development.
The installation has created a professional workshop setting suitable for a wide range of Design & Technology activities, from product design and engineering projects through to practical manufacturing exercises.
