Introducing the fully moulded edge classroom table from Hille. This finish is similar in appearance to the fantastic old Cast PU edge tables of the past, with similar generous thickness of material. The difference is that the fully moulded edges are in fact injection moulded, so the bond to the MDF core is even more complete as its applied under pressure, so free from any air pockets etc. The end result is an incredibly durable edge, capable of taking impacts far in excess of any spray PU, bullnose and PVC edges. In our opinion, it’s the strongest edge available on the market currently, with the only true durability rival being cast PU, which is of course massively expensive.
This extreme durability makes them ideal for high use environments, or just ensures certain unparalleled longevity in day to day use.
The process to manufacture the fully moulded edge is actually quite time efficient, albeit via tooling requiring large investment, so the NETT result is a high performing product but without the high price tag associated with this kind of table specification.
