The Nortek Multipurpose Bench for Primary Schools is a versatile practical learning bench designed specifically for KS1 and KS2 classrooms. Built to support hands-on, collaborative learning across multiple subjects, it offers schools a durable and adaptable solution for design technology, art, crafts, and food-related activities.
Designed with flexibility in mind, this primary school craftwork bench can be used in several ways throughout the school day. Supplied with four clamp-on 6” woodwork vices, it provides a safe and practical setup for primary school DT lessons and simple construction tasks. When the vices are removed, the bench quickly transforms into a spacious tabletop for art, crafts, model making, and group project work.
For schools teaching food preparation or nutrition activities, the bench can also be supplied with an optional 3mm blue food-grade silicone cover, secured with steel spring corner clips. This gives schools a dedicated but flexible workspace that can easily support different curriculum needs without requiring separate specialist furniture.
Manufactured to Nortek’s high standard, this bench features a fully hand-welded steel frame, powder coated in RAL7016 Anthracite Grey, along with a hard-wearing 30mm phenolic worktop and heavy-duty height-adjustable feet. Selected models are fitted with Carrymaster heavy-duty castors with wind-down glide, making the bench easy to move while maintaining excellent stability in use.
This mobile workbench for primary schools is also available in custom sizes and finishes, with options including extra legroom or an underbench storage cupboard to suit different classroom layouts and teaching styles.
