Description
The Robin Day Armchair is a classic piece of British furniture design, originally created for Hille in 1967 following the success of the iconic Poly Side Chair.
Designed with both form and comfort in mind, the armchair features a generously wide polypropylene seat with integrated arms, providing excellent support for longer periods of sitting. The distinctive rolled edge design neatly conceals fixings from the front view, maintaining a clean and refined appearance.
Like many of Robin Day’s designs, the shell was engineered with universal fixing points, allowing it to be paired with a variety of base options, including swivel, beam and alternative frame styles. The most popular configuration remains the original A-frame base, offering a balance of stability, durability and timeless style.
Ideal for classrooms, breakout spaces, dining areas and staff rooms, the Robin Day Armchair delivers both heritage design and everyday practicality.
Available in a range of shell colours and frame finishes, including powder-coated options, chrome effect silver and fully chromed frames, the chair can be tailored to suit a wide range of environments.
